Multiplying Fly Reel with Original Case

I am pleased to offer this Otto Zwarg model 400 Laurentian
3/0 size multiplying fly reel in its original case. Zwarg
worked for Edward vom Hofe and this model
reel was based on vom Hofes
model 504 Tobique

This wonderful salmon reel is stamped with serial number C-XXX indicating
that it was made in 1948 Zwargs third year in business and
his first full year of making reels in St. Petersburg Fl.

This reel is in fantastic condition as is its original leather case.
The drag operates just like it should and is very smooth.
The click button also operates perfectly.

The reel has the initials MLM professionally engraved on the
rear side-plate and also embossed in gold on the case.
