⭕ This is a vintage 1920 GIBSON F-4 Mandolin in fine original condition. Serial number 55737. The pickguard is original and is marked PAT. MAR 30,09 and it has the original pick mount on the side of the mandolin which reads: PAT. JULY 4, 1911. The mandolin appears otherwise to be in good condition showing normal playing wear. It conforms to the typical specifications of the model for the period in which it was made with scroll body shape, carved spruce top with oval soundhole, well figured curly maple back and sides, mahogany neck with dark center lamination, The Gibson and double flowerpot peghead inlay, The Gibson embossed tailpiece cover, nickel plated metal hardware, white binding on the top and back edges of the body, red mahogany stain sunburst varnish finish, and with ebony bridge and aluminum saddle.
