This is the earliest version of this amplifier we have ever come across, and it is in amazing shape too! It was pulled from a decommissioned radio station at a local university. We believe it was installed when the building was constructed around 1932.Given its age and the schools broadcast history,it was most likely part of the AM broadcast equipment. We see no bulging resistors,no leaky capacitors,no brittle wire insulation, and no corrosion.Rather than putting the amp on our variac, powering it up,checking all of the components, and replacing anything that is out of spec we have left it in original, unmolested condition. You can decide what you want to do:keep it as is,replace any out of spec components with period correct replacements,or use todays latest and greatest components.
