⭕ Up for sale is an authentic Japanese Samurai sword. Sword was a GI bringback and has been in the same family since the end of WWII. This sword has never been offered for sale at any other time. We have just purchased this as part of an estate. I have not had this sword inspected by an expert but the pictures are clear enough that they should speak for the originality and that this is a signed Samurai and is in exceptional condition. The blade measures 21 1/4 in. The blade is very sharp. 20 1/8 in cutting edge. It has a couple of very tiny blemishes which I was unable to capture in picture due to glare. Handle is in excellent condition. No cracks or chips. The metal part of the handle has some flaking on the gold finish which can be seen in picture. Overall length of sword from end to end is 30 9/16 in. As you can see in the pictures the sheath is in very good to excellent condition with no dents. There is some gold flaking on the metal parts in some areas. Also, the scabbard has a leather sheath for protection which is in excellent condition. If anyone out there would be kind enough to inform us as to what the signing on the handle does mean, we would appreciate it very much. This is a very beautiful sword and is in exceptional condition.
