1890's Imperial Russian St. Andrew 56 (14K) Solid Yellow Gold & Ena


⭕ 1890s Imperial Russian St. Andrew 56 (14K) Solid Yellow Gold & Enamel Badge W/Hallmarks Eduard St Petersburg - This piece is made of solid 56 (the Imperial Russian standard for 14K gold), and is embelished with white, blue, red and black enamel. The front depicting a St. Andrews cross upon which Andrew is crucified. The ends of the cross have the Latin letters SAPR abbreviating ST. ANDREW PATRON OF RUSSIA, and set upon a gold with black enamel Imperial double headed eagle with chased feathering, enameled eyes and crowns. The verso similarly enameled, and chased from the beaks of the eagles head is an enameled banner emblazoned in Crylic with the motto of the order for Faith & Loyalty. The entire piece is suspended from a blue enameled ribbon. The ribbon is flowing from beneath an enameled crown with suspension hooks. The left foot of the eagle is hallmarked St. Petersburg, 56 gold standard, and in Cyrillic Eduard. This is truly an investment quality piece, as it belongs in a museum.
