The VMC-4024 is a 25/30 HP, CAT 40 machine that operates at 20-8,000 RPM. Rigidity is provided by heavily ribbed casting, sturdy construction and machine weight of 13,200 lbs. A large work envelope is delivered with travels of X=39.37, Y=23.62 and Z=25.98. Positioning accuracy is measured at 0.0004, and repeatability at 0.0002.
On the VMC-4024 is the Vickers 2100 CNC, which offers graphical programming, Fanuc part-program translation and touch screen simplicity in a PC-based Microsoft Windows NT environment. Other equipment includes a fast, drum carousel, bi-directional ATC (20 tools), 866 IPM rapid traverse and Yaskawa drive motors.
