⭕ The engine number is TS2978 which places its date of manufacture as 1954. Only 8,636 TR2s were built and many of these were exported, so a genuine TR2 engine is not going to be easy to find.

The engine comes with an original DM2 type distributor and starter motor.

The engine can be seen and heard running. It starts immediately and runs crisply with 70 to 80 psi oil pressure with no unwelcome noises.

This is a rare opportunity to acquire a fully sorted TR2 engine that can be dropped straight into a car or perhaps even kept as come in handy spare or used in any vehicle accepting the Standard Vanguard engine.
