Marvelous Sounding Old Italian Cello W Brand Stamp

⭕ Label reads Riccardo Antoniazzi Cremonese
fece in Milano Lanno 1887
There are three branded stamps found on the front, back and inside. However, as the cello is very old in age, the stamps are dirty and somewhat covered in grit and dust so its hard to even make out what letters or mark the stamp is. I have no documents for this cello but I can assure you there are no hidden problems with the cello. On the back, heavy flamed maple seems like smooth waves. The sides are even with the back and it can be seen that the same material from the same tree was used. The front is of beautifully patterned grain spruce. Seeing through the fhole, the profile of the front wood seems quite thick which propably is what makes this cello sing a heavy sound. To add to the sound, the volume is also huge. It can totally fill up any concert hall. The varnish is dark gold brown but can seem slightly reddish under light or in dark lighting will seem like it is dark brown. The surface of the varnish is glazdd like dry land but these are not to be confused with any scraches as the cello has NO major scratches or as above said has NO CRACKS. Strings C and G are farily new. D and A are slighly used. The endpin used to be one that was old and old fashioned being really too short. Now its been changed to gold metal fitted boxwood endpin. As for the bridge, it used to be a Belgium style bridge but the previous owner had it quite high so a professional luthier lowered the height of the bridge and reset it. Pegs, tailpiece endpin are all boxwood. Pegs do NOT slip or unwind. Size of the cello is slightly smaller than the standard with 754mm back length. Width of the side is short on the upperbout (126mm ) but wider on the lowerbout area near the endpin (131mm).
Dimensions: LOB 754mm Upper bout 346mm Center bout 241mm Lower bout 442mm
