⭕ This is a SUPERB Fox Renard Model 240 professional bassoon. Fox is the best American maker of bassoons and oboes, and the 240 is their flagship model for the Renard line. Foxs manufacturing is excellent. Intonation is very good, action feels good, and these bassoons sound good enough to play in any setting you play in-from student to professional ensembles. This particular one is in outstanding condition. It has the high D key as well as the high E key. There are no cracks, repaired or otherwise. There is practically no wear on the keys-this instrument was clearly taken good care of. Pads and action are excellent, and this bassoon is ready to play without additional adjustment.
