Vintage Live Steam Boat Engine

⭕ This is a fairly large engine for 16 to 22 foot boats. I built this engine twenty years ago from a mill engine that was made the turn of the century by an unknown maker. It has large main and rod journals for its size and has new xxxx nickel babbit. New chromed rod, Iron piston and rings, and new bore in cylinder. I added counter weights to the crank to allow smooth running to about 600 rpm. Stevenson Link forward and reverse and will hook up very well in forward. Connecting rod is solid brass. Flywheel is leaded bronze with a steel center weighs 40 pounds. Tics over very nice at very low rpm and will reverse allmost instantly. I include drive gears for the boiler feed pump that I never got to make. The drip oiler that you see fits this engine and oils every moving part and has a steam heater in it for cold weather. The brass cylinder is a steam exhaust boiler feed heater that is tested to 600 lbs. There is also the shaft coupler which is a free floating CV typ for a one inch prop shaft so you have to supply the thrust bearing for your boat. This whole setup weighs 200 pounds and is 26 inches to the top of the head, it is not a toy, well mayby a big boy toy! Thanks fer lookin.
