⭕ This is a GREAT hat! It is an all-original 17K, serial # 00471K, in nearly perfect condition. The chrome-plated brass components are so shiny and mirror-like, I had difficulty photographing it because of the glare, and I wasnt even using the flash! There is only a little rubbing/scratching on the handle and a small surface scratch or two on the shell and thats it. Ive taken great care of this hat. I rinsed it with fresh water and sanitized the interior after each use. It has never been dropped. The neck dam is in very good condition as the hat was mostly attached directly to my suit.

Other than the basic size of the shell, the 17K has little in common with its famous predecessor, the 17B. This is a modern hat with the now-standard-on-all-KMB-helmets pull-pin neck ring system, not the toilet seat yolk. It has the Big Bore SUPERFLOW 350 regulator, a carbon fiber reinforced shell and balanced weighting. Ive owned both models and I like this one soooo much better. It is identical to the 37 except for its earlier whisker/exhaust design. It has a larger shell than the 27 for those who dont have smaller heads or just prefer a little more room.

It comes with everything you see in the photos, including the padded liner, extra NEW neck ring seal, and UNPUNCHED comms block. The chinstrap is also mounted. Comms are NOT included. If you need comms for this hat, I can sell you a set of original KMB comms with pigtail very reasonably but, in that case, I will need to retain the unpunched block to plug the hole in my other hat that is currently filled by the comms set. It also comes with the owners manual, parts list, warranty card, and inspection report, all original to this hat. Now, thats something you dont see everyday. It is clean, washed, and sanitized.
