Rare Clowes Ashworth Gas Testing Miners Lamp By Stanley Of Derby
⭕ Clowes Ashworth Gas Testing Miners Safety Lamp by Stanley of Derby
These lamps were adapted from the Ashworth Hepplewhite Gray, and is marked accordingly as shown.
The cylinder housed hydrogen gas, which could be fed into the lamp, stopping the oil flame to allow for more accurate testing.
The Beard Mackie Gas ladder seen inside the glass allowed the precise measurement of the heights of the flame caps.
Gas cylinder has been repainted and is supplied with key to open/close cylinder
The lamp weighs around 3kg and will be sent Special Delivery with insurance, hence the postage cost.
